How Can I Know God

Believe that the God who created everything we see and cannot see, created you to know Him. Acts 17:28 "for “‘In him we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said, “‘For we are indeed his offspring."

Believe that God has a standard for how to live and we have all fallen short of the standard. The Bible calls missing Gods mark "sin". Believe also that the consequence for sin is death both physical and spiritual separation from Life which is God Himself. Romans 3:23 "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God," Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Believe that Jesus Christ is God in the flesh who came and took our place in death so that if we believe in Him we can have life in Him both spiritual and eternal because He truly loves us. John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."
Experience looks different than belief. You could believe that an old wooden chair will hold you but if you never sit in it you never experience what you say you believe.
When the bible talks about "knowing" God it means to experience Him. If missing God's mark brings death and that has been our experience then it makes sense that God would want us to experience Him so that we can experience eternal life.
John 17:3 "And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent."

So how do I "experience" God?

Jesus Christ is the way we experience and have a relationship with God.
Jesus is God and Creator.

John 1:1-5, 14 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was in the beginning with God. 3All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4In him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. . . . 14And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth." Colossians 1:15-17 "He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 16For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. 17And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

Jesus is our Way, our Truth and our Life.
John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
Matthew 11:29 Jesus said "Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."
John 8:31-32 "So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
